Rabies Virus
According to the Guilford County Department of Public Health the following are the rules that should be followed in order to avoid the threat of rabies:
- Vaccinate all of your family pets
- Be cautious about wildlife
- Teach children to avoid sick or wild animals
- Report wild cats and dogs to Animal Control Officers
- Report all animal bites
- Seek medical attention if bitten by an animal
By following these simple rules, you will be greatly increasing your family's chance of avoiding the rabies virus. For further information and to report any possible rabies cases, please contact your local Animal Control or Department of Public Health.
